PERFORMANCE
The 2016 V60 T5 Drive-E is fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Drive-E engine with FWD with an EPA rating of 29 MPG for the city and highway. The T6 AWD R-Design brings a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 with 325 horsepower. And for the extra power, the special-order, limited-available Polestar edition gives off 345 horsepower. With Volvo's top safety features, subtle styling and attractive interior, the 2016 Volvo V60 makes a compelling argument for the return of the station wagon.
Standard equipment on the V60 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, LED running lights, automatic wipers, heated mirrors, a sunroof, front and rear foglights and cruise control. The T6 AWD R-Design comes equip with 19-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, keyless entry and ignition, power-retractable exterior mirrors, power-folding rear head restraints, appearance upgrades and adaptive xenon headlights.
The limited Polestar edition of the R-Design Platinum brings performance to another level with 20-inch alloy wheels, larger front brakes, performance-tuned suspension, special engine tuning, paddle shifter, an aerodynamic kit, interior details and Volvo's "Rebel Blue" exterior paint.
TECHNOLOGY
Volvo Technology package is standard on the XC60's Platinum Model which is adaptive cruise control, an upgraded forward collision mitigation system, driver alertness and lane departure warning systems and automatic high beam headlight control.
Sound and Entertainment- A premium 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and a dual-screen rear seat entertainment system.
Navigate - Simplified navigation capabilities smartly integrated into the display. Destinations can be set using voice control or from using your smartphone to do it remotely.
Control - A complete graphical driver display with steering wheel and voice commands. Simply speak to get directions, change music, make a phone call, or send a text.
Volvo On Call - The Volvo On Call app on your smartphone can help you to start your car remotely and warm/cool the inside, get roadside assistance, and lock/unlock doors.
INTERIOR
The 2016 V60 interior has 40/20/40-split rear seats with power-folding head restraints. "T-Tec" fabric upholstery, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, eight-way power front seats with driver memory functions and manual lumbar adjustment. A quiet interior provides a serene atmosphere which is enhanced by the V60's composed ride quality. With the Polestar edition, the ride gets a bit stiffer for rally and race enthusiasts.
The V60 gives 43.8 cubic feet of cargo room with the rear setbacks folded down. The available fold-flat front passenger seat provide flexibility that helps make the best use of the space available. The cargo area has two-positions for an available pop-up grocery bag holder and a roll-out dog security net.
SAFETY
The 2016 Volvo V60 comes with standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active front head restraints. Volvo's City Safety system is a low-speed forward collision warning and mitigation system with automatic braking that comes standard in all V60 models.
