It's not very Swedish to brag but we're so proud, we just have to. Our new four-cylinder Drive-E engine is small but powerful. So powerful that we believe it will change the way people think about engines, ending the decades-old assumption that more cylinders equals more power.

In fact, our four-cylinder engines offer performance equivalent to six and even eight-cylinder power plants. And the bit we're particularly proud of is the lower fuel consumption and emissions output that comes standard with our new engine range. Actually, we think that's quite a big deal.

Get the power you need with a four-cylinder engine that generates the equivalent output of a six or even eight-cylinder engine, but uses less fuel. All Wheel Drive with Instant Traction?
The advanced Haldex® AWD system with Instant Traction? has an electronic management system that constantly monitors the speed of the wheels, the throttle, engine torque, engine speed and the brakes. As driving conditions change, wheels with the best grip get the most power. When a tire loses traction, power is reduced to that wheel and instantly transferred to the more sure-footed wheels.

Chassis & Steering
DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control) enhances driving stability in slippery conditions by comparing the rotation of the drive wheels and, if needed, varying the power supply. This system also compares the car's direction with its steering wheel movements. Then, when necessary, cuts engine power or brakes individual wheels to help reduce skidding and maintain control. You can even set the system to ensure extra traction in snowy conditions.

The Advanced Stability Control function features a roll rate gyro sensor and acceleration sensor to detect slowly built up skids at an early stage and compensate this with greater precision. As driver, you'll experience this as added stability in dynamic driving where the car is exposed to high lateral forces. Corner Traction Control by Torque Vectoring balances the torque between the front wheels during acceleration while cornering - the torque is being re-distributed from a spinning inner wheel to the outer wheel - this reduces understeer and increase traction. This enhances stability when cornering at higher speeds and makes the car even more dynamic - like when you turn onto a main road to catch up with the traffic flow. And when you're in the mood for a more sporty drive, select the Sport Mode.

A truly dynamic driving experience
The V60 builds upon the driving dynamics of the highly acclaimed S60 sedan, incorporating all of the S60 attributes into a more versatile wagon form. In fact, the V60 utilizes the exact same chassis as the S60, including advanced features like Corner Traction Control through Torque Vectoring that allows the driver to take turns more tightly, Advanced Stability Control utilizing a roll-angle sensor for greater precision and improved handling, and a Sport-mode that relaxes the anti-spin system just enough for more active driving.

Know exactly where you're going. Find nearby destinations like restaurants, hotels and tourist attractions - plus additional information, including opening hours, menus and prices. Simply use the steering wheel-mounted scroll wheel to access Local Search. From there you can receive visual and turn-by-turn voice guidance to your destination.

Pandora
Great music discovery is effortless and free with Pandora. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs, genres or composers and we'll do the rest. It's easy to create personalized stations that play only music you'll love, including almost a century of popular recordings - new, old, well known and obscure. Create up to 100 personalized radio stations or explore hundreds of music and comedy genre stations with your free account.

WiFi Hotspot
WiFi wherever. Connect your smartphone, tablet or laptop to a WiFi hotspot from your Volvo. Internet is delivered through the in-car modem and integrated rooftop antenna. The WiFi's  hotspot range extends beyond the vehicle, making it perfect for trips where you can enjoy nature and technology at the same time. Bluetooth Tethering
Connect any Bluetooth- or WiFi-enabled smartphone to your Volvo. You can receive texts and make hands-free phone calls through the in-car audio system. Tethering also makes it possible to receive an Internet connection through your smartphone, rather than using the in-car modem. Because all data will be sent through your phone network, you'll need an existing service plan with data coverage that includes enabled tethering. You can also stream music from your Bluetooth- or WiFi-enabled smartphones, MP3 Players and other devices and play through the in-car speakers.

Remote Control
Control your car remotely from your smartphone. With the Volvo On Call app, you can start or stop the engine and read the dashboard remotely. Forgotten where you've parked? Use Find Car to make your vehicle use its horn and light up. It's visible within a 1,000 yard radius. You can even check the weather forecast around your car. To prevent unauthorized use of the vehicle, the moment someone enters your car, they must restart the engine using the keys. You can download the Volvo On Call app from the Apple, Google and Windows app store now.

Roadside Assistance
Assistance expedited. If your car breaks down, just push the Volvo On Call button to speak to an operator, who can dispatch assistance to your location. Even if you don't know where you are, the in-car GPS means help can find you. If your electronics have failed, you can also use the Volvo On Call mobile app to bring support quickly and easily.

Emergency Support
Volvo safety is second to none - so if the worst happens, you're protected. The moment a collision is detected, your Volvo instantly alerts a trained operator who will attempt to contact the vehicle occupants. Whether or not occupants are able to respond, the operator will contact emergency service on their behalf, using the in-car GPS to find the precise vehicle location. You can also press the SOS button, located in head console, whenever there's an emergency.

Theft Recovery
Smart thieves don't steal Volvos. If someone attempts to break into your vehicle, an alert is immediately sent to the Volvo On Call center. From there, an operator will use the in-car phone to ascertain if an authorized person is in the car. If your Volvo is stolen, Volvo On Call can use the in-car GPS to find it. The car can also be immobilized remotely in some states.

Driver Display
See clearly on the crisp, hi-resolution active TFT crystal display. Choose from three display settings that match your needs. The Performance setting puts speed, acceleration and handling information at your fingertips. The Eco setting not only monitors your fuel consumption and miles per gallon, but also encourages particularly efficient driving. The Elegance setting allows you to sit back and enjoy the ride with a minimalist aesthetic. Each setting affects both in-car screens - creating a holistic driving experience.
